Something to think about...
"Because we live in a fallen world, we are not born into connection. It has to be gained, and it is an arduous, developmental process. Without going through that process of bonding, we are doomed to alienation and isolation. not only do we not grow, we deteriorate.
Physicists have a graphic way of describing this situation. They call it the law of entropy. According to this law, in a closed system such as our universe, the available energy is gradually being used up. As available energy decreases, disorder increases. Without energy from the outside, our universe will become 'running down' because of this law. The sun, and many other stars that fill the universe, will eventually, one after the other, cool down to dark masses, their energy scattered throughout space, no longer available. They will have reached what physicists call 'maximum entropy.'
In the psychological and spiritual spheres, this law operates dramatically. If a person in left alone, her world will become more and more chaotic. She will reach maximum entropy."

Dog Sitting

Job number one: pick up the dog at doggie day care.
Walking in like I knew what I was doing, I met other dog lovers dropping off their delightful balls of fur. I cocked my head to a women next to me, "So.....is your Labrador full bred?".
After breaking the ice by what seemed like an intelligent question about dogs, I pick up my temporary dachshund, in a doggie bag, and scooted out the day care. Barking dogs said their farewells, or at least that is all I made out.
Job two: take her for a walk.
Scoping the landscape, the 15 pound dog with her little pink coat couldn't get enough of the good ol' earth. Friends passed saying, "Didn't know it was legal to put a squirrel on a leash?" "Funny." I said. We kept walking. The view was amazing as the sun set that afternoon.
