This morning I was feeling as if I needed to get out and exercise, so I went running. Did I completely FORGET that I HATE running? If I forgot, I rememberd real quick as I was pacing myself up a steep hill on Sunset Blvd. "Woah, I'm having a hard time breathing" I thought. "Am I supposed to feel like this"? There was no way I was going to continue running up that hill. "Who am I trying to impress"? I thought. As soon as my intuition kicked in and said "No one" I slowed down to a walk. Still trying to catch my breath, I finished the hill. Was there rejoicing? There may have been except I then realized that Sunset Blvd. did not connect as a block like the streets my VT home town. The dread of being lost came over me. *Sigh* "I'll just turn around" I thought. And so that's what I did. I made it home safely and drank lots of water to overcome the dehydration my brother said I had when I called him huffing and puffing. I'm fine now, but I learned a few lessons today- Lesson one: Don't RUN up the hill. Lesson two: Don't run dehydrated. Lesson three: Don't run in an area you don't know (unless you bring your GPS). And lesson four: Don't run.
Thanks for tuning in.
