"Til death do us part..."

I went to my friends wedding this weekend. The wedding was so God-glorifying.

Tip of the week...

Do not drink out of a two-liter bottle of soda while stuck in traffic. It may just ricochet off the steering wheel and bite you on the lip.
Addendum: Blondes especially should not try this manover.

Promise

It is not a secret that our country is going through the most trying financial time since the Great Depression. There are other trials in our life that build and compound upon us, making us susceptible to hopelessness. Emily Dickinson wrote a poem in her despair. But I would like to encourage you to read also the second prose here:

Those-- dying then,
Knew where they went--
They went to God's Right Hand--
That Hand is amputated now
And God cannot be found--

The abdicataion of Belief
Makes the Behavior small--
Better an ignis fatuus
Than no illume at all--
-Emily Dickinson

Though we might feel like that, we must remember God's promises:

The LORD your God is with you,
He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with
singing.

The sorrows for the appointed
feasts
I will remove from you;
they are a burden and a reproach
to you.
At that time I will deal
with all who oppressed you;
I will rescue the lame
and gather those who have been
scattered.
I will give them praise and honor
in every land where they were
put to shame."
-Zephaniah 3:17-19

And everything nice...

At my friend's house- Made chicken and rice and everything nice. Yummm! Oh, and this is her cat. It's a "she" and I can't ever remember that, so if I write it, I will remember.

Blonde moment

I went over to a friends house last night. We were going to meet at Panera Bread and she was going to lead me to her apartment from there. Since she was going to be there five minutes after me, I decided to sit in the car. Then I changed my mind and got out- leaving my keys IN THE IGNITION! Thankfully the car was not running, but I certainly had no way of getting to my keys. I keep a spare- but only at my house. AAA's number was in my glove compartment. I couldn't get in my car and Joanna had arrived.... the pudding pie was getting mushy and my camera was sitting in the front seat saying "STEAL ME" in it's lovely pink case.
Thankfully my housemate saved the day - J and I went to my house to get the key and we were all good. Dinner was later than expected because of my blonde moment (which lasted more than a moment, I might add), but the pudding pie was still good, Praise God.
*Phew*

Training...

The past week I've been training at work and just yesterday started doing transactions. The time goes by much more fast at work now that I'm doing something. I enjoy it and am so happy to have a job. Praise God!
