Come unto Me
Are you lookin' for someone to be gentle with your broken heart, your shattered dreams?
And are you searchin' for someone who'll be faithful to you no matter what life brings?
Well, I know the Maker of the storm, the sunrise;
He is both the lion and the lamb.
He is strong enough to shake all earth and heaven yet meek enough to take me as I am.
He says,
"Come unto Me all who are weary, and I will give you rest. Bring what hurts, bring your scars, bring th load that you carry, and I will give you rest."
Are the clouds above your head oh so heavy, bursting with showers of despair? And do you struggle under more than you can carry? Has life given you more than you can bear?
Then would you like to trade you failures in for vict'ries, like piles of askes in for piles of gold?
And can you fall down like a chile who is helpless, so He can pick you up and make you whole?
He says,
"Come unto me all who are weary and I will give you rest."
Come Unto Me

Valeria??
Company party last night revealed a aweful truth about me among my coworkers. For the longest time, they thought my name was VALERIA.
Yes, it's true.
That explains why they only put VAL on my desk. They probably thought it was embarrassing to have a name like Valeria. It wasn't until yesterday when I had my new name tag made and placed on the front that they all realized what my REAL name was.
I like the formality of Valerie for the customers to use, but wouldn't mind for my coworkers to call me Val. I didn't know they were calling me Val for the pure sake of avoiding VALERIA's emphasis problem.
They thought, "Is it ValEria or ValerIa......donno. I'll just say Val."
And they think I'M blonde. ("pishhhh whatever "(flick hair* now) )

Psalm 138:6-8
Though the Lord is on high, He
looks upon the lowly,
but the proud He knows from
afar.
Though I walk in the midst of
trouble,
You preserve my life;
You stretch out Your hand against
the anger of my foes,
with Your right hand You save
me.
The LORD will fulfill His purpose
for me;
Your love, O LORD, endures
forever--
do not abandon the work of
Your hands.

13 days old and still edible-
Turns out the steak house hibachi grill wins the award for best food when eaten fresh and best when 13 days old. Thanks to the convenient microwave, I can eat my grilled left overs from New Years Eve!
Thanks goes out to the steak house and Dr. Percy Spencer who invented the microwave. :-)

Comparison, a culprit?
In a house at night, lights on inside -looking outside.
"It's dark out there. I'm safe here where it is lit".
As bed time draws near, lights inside turn off one by one.
"My eyes are more accustom to the dark".
An equilibrium is met.
"Dark is not so dark after all".
A room with no widows is even darker than outside.
Comparison, a culprit?
The Light of life shines.
Darkness all around, Jesus Christ is light and salvation.
Callous to the Holy Spirit- lights dim, flicker and turn off.
What was once sinful, is not so sinful after all.
Compared with something more sinful my sin looks not so bad.
Comparison, a culprit?
Diligently work, as approved and not ashamed.
God's word- light on my path.

It's those little things in life...
Having fun in Vermont spending time with family. Only home for a few days but am enjoying the time.
Yesterday the mountains were PINK! My favorite color! Can you believe it?! God must have known I was coming. ;-)
